The session was facilitated by the User Experience Centre from Singapore Polytechnic. Participants work with the Final Year Business students to create ideas that can potentially benefit matured workers who are looking for re-employment opportunities.
Date: 27th June 2017
Venue: Singapore Polytechnic Library L1 Colours

Brainstorming session continues with identification of issues with existing ideas and possible solutions to improve on those ideas using Design Thinking methodology with both the jobseekers and recruiter/hiring manager’s perspective in mind.
Some feedback by the CFS community (workers & job-seekers)
- Distance, salary and flexible hours are important factors to mature workers
- Mature workers learning to use mobile devices and apps.
- How to entice those mature PMETs who have left the workforce, to reenter the workforce.
IBM personnel reinforced that there are two groups of mature workers, the PMETs and the rank and file. Their job search experience and needs can be very different, hence the design of the solutions must cater to the different needs.
IBM personnel also stressed that the effectiveness of the solution will not be achieved unless there is awareness of the existence of this solution.
